Now that you Vault is all set up it's important to understand how you're able to maintain access to your Vault. The two most important codes you need to remember when accessing your Vault and Caden account are your PIN and Private Key 🔑
Your PIN is an easy 4-digit code to access your Data Vault. You will need this 4 digit code every time you want to access your vault.
Your Private Key is a 24 digit access code assigned to your Vault. When you get a new phone or refactor your current device and login to your Caden account, you will be prompted to enter this 24 digit code.
Caden does not store PINs and Private Keys for the sake of protecting your Privacy. You and only you have access to your PIN and Private Key. So if you lose access to your PIN and Private Key, you lose access to your account. We also currently do not have a way for users to reset this information. If you lose access to your vault, the best course of action is to delete your account and create a new one.
Since we know how important this information is, our team has worked incredibly hard to making sure that saving your PIN and Private Key is easy and seamless. You can copy the information, save it as a file, and even send the information somewhere safe. Just make sure you save this information somewhere you can reference in the event your device gets refactored or get a new phone!
